Students who begin their study of Chinese at SLU above the 1010 level must complete an additional course or courses in Chinese to fulfill the 18 credits required for the minor.

All courses for the Chinese minor must be completed with a grade of “C” or higher in order to count for the minor. If a student earns a grade of “C-” or lower in a course, they may either retake the course or take an additional course in the major and earn a grade of “C” or better. In order to continue in the Chinese minor, a student must maintain a “C” average in all CHIN courses.
