PATH 0100 - Introduction to Pathology

The purpose of Introduction to Pathology is to introduce you to concepts and principles of general pathology, with a focus on patterns of cell and tissue response to injury, mechanisms of cell injury, the inflammatory process, thrombosis, neoplasia, normal and abnormal growth an development, and clinicopathologic correlation.

PATH 5010 - Pathobiology

Credit(s): 3-5 Credits

Open to students in the School of Medicine and to qualified graduate students by permission. General pathology and the basic mechanisms of cell and tissue injury. Offered every fall semester.

PATH 5020 - Molecular Pathobiology

Credit(s): 4 Credits

A continuation of PT-G 501. Pathology and pathophysiology of diseases on cellular/molecular basis. Lecture and group discussions. Offered every spring semester.

PATH 5350 - Intro to Microscopy Techniques

Credit(s): 1-3 Credits

Lecture and laboratory course on the application of light and electron microscopic techniques in biomedical research. Hands-on experience at the microscope and practical approaches to problem solving will be emphasized. The course includes practical aspects of light, fluorescence and confocal microscopy as well as transmission and scanning electron microscopy. Offered every other fall semester.

PATH 5380 - Immunopathology

Immunology pertaining to human diseases and animal models emphasized. Offered occasionally.
