MD 0100 - Professional and Personal Development I

Credit(s): 1-6 Credits (Repeatable for credit)

By participating in classes and activities, students will have the opportunity to learn about and develop in various areas of lifestyle management that contribute to becoming a successful physician, including; self-knowledge, study skills, self-directed learning, professionalism, and wellness. The PPF is a two-year course that combines a number of mandatory events, lectures and experiences into a course that is focused on the personal and professional development of medical students. Three specific areas of development will be explored within the course content; 1) Professionalism, 2) Personal Growth and 3) Wellness. Students will participate in educational experiences in each of these areas.

MD 0300 - Clinical Correlations

Credit(s): 1-10 Credits (Repeatable for credit)

This course is used to remediate NBME subject exam failures. Students cannot register for this course themselves.

MD 0301 - Introduction to Core Clerkship

Credit(s): 1-12 Credits (Repeatable for credit)

This course provides training in skills and procedures required for all students to begin the core clerkships.

MD 0302 - Caring with Compassion

Credit(s): 1-3 Credits (Repeatable for credit)

MD 0406 - Clinical Paradigms 1

Credit(s): 1-6 Credits (Repeatable for credit)

This course is a study period for USMLE Step 2CK and USMLE Step 2CS. The maximum length of study time is 4 weeks. Students are graded Pass/Fail and receive 1 credit hour per week of study for a maximum of 4 weeks.

MD 0407 - Clinical Paradigms 2

Credit(s): 1-6 Credits (Repeatable for credit)

This course is a supervised study for remediation of USMLE Step 1 or Step 2. The length of this course may be 2 or 4 weeks. Students are graded Pass/Fail and receive 1 credit hour per week of study. Students cannot register for this course themselves: the Office of Academic Records will register students in this course at the request of Dr. Duffy.

MD 0411 - Year 4 Ph.D. Credit

Credit(s): 2-20 Credits

MD 0411 allows students completing the PhD to apply up to 10 credit hours of their PhD research to the elective requirements of the MD Degree Program. Students may not register individually for MD 0411: staff in the Office of Academic Records will complete this registration. The appropriate number of credit hours and grade (Pass/Fail) will be provided in writing by the MD/PhD Program Director. These credits should be posted to the student record (via registration and grading) in the fourth year of the MD Degree Program as soon as they are received to ensure that the elective credit requirement for graduation is accurate and complete.

MD 0412 - Year 4 M.B.A. Credit
