Course Withdrawals

The deadline to drop a course without a “W” appearing on the transcript is midnight Sunday of the second week for full-semester courses.

• During the first two weeks of the semester, students are able to drop individual courses through Banner Self-Service or courses.slu.edu.
• Students with a registration hold must complete the Petition for Complete Drop/Withdrawal with Registration Hold during the same time periods.

The period to withdraw from a course is through midnight Sunday of the tenth week for full-semester courses. During this period courses will be marked with a “W” on the transcript.

• During the period to withdraw from a course, students are able to withdraw from individual courses through Banner Self-Service or courses.slu.edu.  
• Students with a Registration Hold must complete the Petition for Complete Drop/Withdrawal with Registration Hold during the same time periods.
