Students taking courses for the business analytics minor at Saint Louis University's Richard A. Chaifetz School of Business will obtain knowledge of analytic tools used by most businesses to make data-driven decisions.
This knowledge will enhance students’ market value in any business discipline. The core components of this minor include information technology management, database management systems and business statistics. Students have the opportunity to receive an educational background in data mining or marketing analytics according to their personal interests and career goals.
Additional prerequisite: MATH 1200 College Algebra (3 cr)
Additional prerequisite: MKT 3000 Introduction to Marketing Management (3 cr). May be used in either ITM area or Marketing area but not both. Marketing majors must take ITM 3550 Introduction to "Big Data" (3 cr) and ITM 4700 Business Data Mining (3 cr) since MKT 4650 Marketing Analytics (3 cr) is a required marketing course and cannot also fulfill the minor requirements.
