Health Sciences, B.S. to Law, J.D. Accelerated Program

Saint Louis University’s accelerated Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences to Juris Doctor (J.D.) pathway is designed for students interested in the intersection of health care, policy, and law.

The Health Sciences curriculum provides a flexible and customizable foundation that allows you to explore your interests while building a strong understanding of health systems, population health, and the regulatory and ethical factors that shape health care. Through a combination of core coursework and electives, you can tailor your academic experience to align with your interests in law, policy, and advocacy.

This accelerated pathway allows you to complete both your undergraduate and law degrees in six years, saving time while preparing for a career at the intersection of health care and the legal system. You will develop a strong foundation in critical thinking, communication, and analytical reasoning—skills essential for success in law school and legal practice.

Graduates of this pathway are well prepared for careers in health law, policy, compliance, and advocacy. Potential career paths include roles in health care law, regulatory affairs, health policy organizations, government agencies, and legal consulting. This pathway also provides a strong foundation for pursuing a wide range of legal careers beyond the health sector.

Students in this accelerated pathway begin their legal studies during their undergraduate program and transition to full-time law study after completing their bachelor’s degree.
