Foundations of Health Services Research, Post-Baccalaureate Certificate

The Foundations of Health Services Research, Post-Baccalaureate Certificate is a fully online, flexible certificate intentionally designed for medical students, clinicians and professionals working in pharma, biotech, payer research and clinical research environments, rather than for health care administrators or health system management roles. The curriculum emphasizes applied methodological training in real-world data analytics, comparative effectiveness research, patient-reported outcomes, and health economic evaluation — skills directly relevant to clinical development, outcomes research, and evidence-generation within life sciences organizations.

Rooted in the Catholic, Jesuit values of intellectual rigor, care for the whole person, and service to society, the program prepares graduates to contribute meaningfully to the design, evaluation and translation of real-world evidence that informs clinical practice, regulatory science and health care innovation.
