Saint Louis's University's bioinformatics and computational biology graduate pathway program prepares students to enter the next semester of a Master of Science in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology. Upon successful completion of the graduate pathway program and meeting University requirements for graduate admission, students may enter the next semester of graduate study.
Program Entry Requirements
Accelerated Pathway (One-Semester Program)
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent in biology, biochemistry, computer science, mathematics, statistics or closely related field - 2.75 GPA on a 4.0 scale
- Three letters of recommendation
- Language requirement:
- TOEFL iBT 75 (17+ in Reading and Writing) or
- IELTS 6.0 (6.0+ in Reading and Writing) or
- PTEA 50 or
- IELA 175 (169+ in Writing and Listening)
Standard Pathway (Two-Semester Program)
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent in biology, biochemistry, computer science, mathematics, statistics or closely related field
- 2.75 GPA on a 4.0 scale
- Three letters of recommendation
- Language requirement:
- TOEFL iBT 70 (13+ in Reading and Writing) or
- IELTS 6.0 (5.5+ in Reading and Writing) or
- PTEA 48 or
- IELA 170 (162+ in Writing and Listening) or
- Completion of Level 5 AE with 2.7 GPA and grades of "C" or better
Roadmaps are recommended semester-by-semester plans of study for programs and assume full-time enrollment unless otherwise noted.
Courses and milestones designated as critical (marked with !) must be completed in the semester listed to ensure a timely graduation. Transfer credit may change the roadmap.
This roadmap should not be used in the place of regular academic advising appointments. All students are encouraged to meet with their advisor/mentor each semester. Requirements, course availability and sequencing are subject to change.
