Geography and Environment, Microcredential (Beginning Fall 2026)

The Geography and the Environment microcredential trains students in social science approaches to understanding human-environmental interactions. Students earn this microcredential by completing three courses (9 credit hours), including a foundational course in world regional geography and electives that provide them with an in-depth understanding of environmental issues and geographic science techniques. Students study geographic, sociological, and anthropological approaches to human environmental impacts. This microcredential will position students to contribute to innovative technological, policy, and social solutions to environmental challenges and global climate change in the coming decades.

Admission Requirements

For current, active Saint Louis University students wishing to declare a microcredential, complete the Update for Student Curriculum Record form.
