Introductory Health Data Science, Microcredential (Beginning Fall 2026)
The Introductory Health Data Science Microcredential at Saint Louis University is a flexible, accessible program designed to equip non-traditional and adult learners—including working professionals, graduate students, and career changers—with essential skills in health data management and programming. Aligned with SLU’s Catholic, Jesuit mission, the program integrates ethical reflection, equity-focused case studies, and social justice principles into the technical curriculum. It promotes diverse perspectives across race, gender identity, socioeconomic status, and global backgrounds by using inclusive content, real-world applications, and a delivery format that accommodates a broad range of learners. By preparing students to engage with healthcare data in a responsible and community-minded way, the program cultivates data-literate professionals who are ready to lead change in today’s complex health systems.
Admission Requirements
For current, active Saint Louis University students wishing to declare a microcredential, complete the Update for Student Curriculum Record form.
