NS 0302 - Neurosurgery Career Exploration

This course may be used to register for Neurosurgery career exploration The location of the experience may be at a SLU SOM affiliate or at another health care institution.
NS 0402 - Advanced Dissection for Neurosurgery Residency
1-12 Credits (Repeatable for credit)
Students will refine knowledge of cranial structures and anatomical relationships as applicable to both microsurgical and endoscopic neurosurgical approaches. Students will apply this knowledge through dissection of the cadaveric head. This course is Pass/Fail. Eligible students are those with intention to apply to neurosurgery residency. Students should have completed a direct patient care neurosurgery rotation / elective / subinternship prior to taking this course. This can be an rotation during the surgery clerkship (verified through surgery clerkship evaluation) and/or a career exploration elective during the FCM-301 or OB-301 clerkships (verified on OASIS).
NS 0501 - Acting Internship: Neurosurgery at Saint Louis University Hospital
2-12 Credits (Repeatable for credit)
This elective provides exceptional education in neurosciences with broad exposure to adult and pediatric neurosurgical problems. Inpatient and outpatient experience is provided. Students assume a significant degree of patient care responsibility under the supervision of residents and staff.
NS 0901 - Neurosurgery Direct Patient Care
2-12 Credits (Repeatable for credit)
